Arborfield is a small town of approximately 300 people located in Northeastern Saskatchewan. 
It is the gateway to the Pasquia Hills - a huge forest of evergreen trees with an abundance of wildlife. Arborfield is a short drive away from perfect fishing spots, local lakes, golf courses and snowmobile trails.

Job Opportunity: Temporary Joint-Office Administrator. Full or Part-Time

Land for Sale by Tender
The office for the Town of Arborfield and the Rural Municipality of Arborfield #456 is needing a qualified Municipal Administrator to help cover a maternity leave.  
This position can be part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate’s availability to cover a 10-12 month leave. This candidate is needed to fulfill the legislated duties of a municipal administrator including Assessment and Taxation, Council requirements and R.M. elections.
The official start date will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Depending on the selected applicant’s certification level and experience, training may begin in February or March of 2026.
  • The Town of Arborfield has a population of 285, and a total assessed value of 20,305,400. Operations are led by four council members and mayor: with one full-time foreman and one part-time assistant foreman.
 
  • The Rural Municipality of Arborfield No. 456 has a population of 338, and a total assessed value of 320,780,000. Operations are led by five council members and reeve: with two full-time grader/equipment operators and one seasonal operator.
 
  • The Municipal Office is located in Arborfield, SK and is open Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:00pm and Friday 8:00am – 3:00pm. Office hours may be flexible in the summertime, depending on availability of Administrator.
 
  • Both offices have an experience casual administrative assistant to help with the day-to-day operations. 
Qualifications:
  • A certificate in Local Government Authority
  • Must be qualified to work as Administrator in an Urban and a Rural municipality.
  • Minimum Standard Certificate of qualification with UMAAS and
  • Minimum Rural Class “C” certificate with RMAA.
  • Experience in Municipal Administration
  • Comprehension of accounting, administrative and clerical skills
  • Experience with Munisoft computer software.
 
This position offers a competitive salary and benefits through SARM (shared by both municipalities).

​Under the provisions of The Tax Enforcement Act the Town of Arborfield offers for sale the following land:

The Town of Arborfield is now accepting tenders from interested parties for the sale of the above land acquired through tax enforcement proceedings.
 
The property is a 15.24m x 76.15m (0.29 acres) lot with two derelict buildings, located in the Town of Arborfield.
 
The property is to be sold on an “as is” basis. There are no warranties offered or implied on the condition of the property. Bidders should visit the property and make allowances in their bids for such conditions as the sole opinion of the bidder.
 
The purchaser has ninety (90) days from the day the title is changed into their name to have the buildings demolished and the restoration of the property completed to the satisfaction of the Town of Arborfield.
 
The purchaser has twelve (12) months from the date the demolition is completed to build a new building on the lot as per the Purchase of Lots Policy.
 
The new property owner is responsible for all expenses associated with the transfer of the title.
 
Bidders shall submit the Tender in a sealed envelope, clearly marked Property for Tender. The submission should include your bid price, acknowledgement that the buildings will be torn down, and your intention for the property.

The Town shall receive tenders at the location and by the method specified above on or before 3:00pm Friday March 13, 2026.
